About the classes:
Kerrie’s classes are fun and friendly with expert advice and guidance enabling you to learn to sew with confidence or improve your own sewing skills.
Course content:
During the course you will be making the popular ‘Straw Flower Quilt’ This quilt has been designed by Kerrie to be a perfect beginner-friendly and more experienced sewist quilt featuring half-square triangles, easy piecing and super-simple sashing. The quilt design is perfect for showcasing your favourite fabrics and learning super-easy piecing.
Skills learnt during our ‘Patchwork’ classes:
*Cutting fabric accurately using mats, rulers and rotary cutters
*Easy piecing
*Patchwork
*Chain piecing
*Using a 1/4″ foot
*Using a walking foot
*How to mitre corners
*How to attach binding
Please note: this is a four part course and there may not be enough time to quilt your ‘Straw Flower Quilt’. Additional sessions will be offered to allow time to do this should you want to attend extra classes.
Materials are not included in the course fee so you will need:
Fabric 1 – Grey In the picture – 1/2 metre – 44″ wide
Fabric 2 – Small Blue Ditsy in the picture – 3/4 metre 44″ wide
Fabric 3 – Large Blue Flower in the picture – 1/2 metre – 44″ wide
Fabric 4 – Green in the picture – 1/2 metre – 44″ wide
Fabric 5 – Small White Ditsy in the picture – 1/2 metre – 44″ wide
Batting – 44″ x 44″ – Can be ordered and bought at class
Backing and Binding fabric – 1 1/2metre – 44″ wide
Please ensure you are available for the date on your selected workshop as they are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled or transferred. Living In Loveliness reserves the right to re-schedule or cancel classes. Should this happen, you will be offered the chance to re-schedule or receive a full refund.
Please note the workshop will only run with a minimum of four attendees.
**SNOW & SEVERE WEATHER POLICY**
Our priority in these circumstances is to ensure everyone is safe. We will give as much notice as possible. If you do not hear from us this means the classes are still running. Should we need to cancel a class you will
be offered an alternative date. If you choose not to attend the workshop and it still runs your session will not be transferred or refunded.
