It always makes my heart hurt when I think that some children won’t be receiving an Easter egg. Easter means different things to different people but to many it is a time of rejoicing and celebrating and to know that a child will miss out on the simple pleasure of getting an Easter egg makes me sad.
A local head teacher with whom I am good friends has made me aware that at least 460 children may not receive an Easter egg this year. Obviously, I couldn’t just ignore this.
I know, as always, I’m super last minute but I’m counting on your support to help give the gift of an Easter egg to children who are not as lucky as our own families. Your help is needed please!
There are several ways in which you can help:
- Gift an Easter egg – I will happily receive any donations over the few weeks leading up to Easter
- A raffle, which is run weekly at my sewing classes, is always in need of donations – money raised will be used to buy Easter eggs
- Money donations (either cash or through PayPal) will be gratefully received – purchases will be photographed and posted online
Over the next few weeks, I will be asking local super markets/shops to support us too.
If you would like an address to send Easter eggs or to donate money to buy Easter eggs, please PM me or email Kerrie@livinginloveliness.com
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can offer support, it will give local children something to smile about this Easter. The school we are trying to help will NOT be named but I will post what has been gifted.
Lots of love as always
