Hello and Happy Sunday

Living In Loveliness are thrilled to be teaming up with the Buddy Bag Foundation and to be supporting such a fabulous Charity who provide very much needed ‘Buddy Bags for families ad children escaping domestic violence Nationwide.

As you know we have already set up a Facebook Group for our charity sewing, knitting and crochet. The kindness and support in the group has been phenomenal, thank you so much but if you aren’t already a member of the group, please click here and request to join and we’ll look out for your requests. Please let us know where in the world you are and how you will be supporting the charity and don’t forget that we love to see your beautiful makes and to be social.

Having had another lovely chat with Karen, it came to my attention that she and the team really need 350 resource bags full details to follow . The resource bags will be gifted to the Children’s Support Workers nationwide to keep essential resources in their cars. The handles of these bags must be long and fastenings on the top of the bags are essential to ensure all resources are not only easily accessible but also secure when the support workers are out and about. Based on the lovely chat with Karen, although you could use magnetic clasps or  hook and loop , I personally think that snap fastenings will not only offer easy installation but will give our amazing child support workers the ease of this particular fastening option.

Although I was due to be live at 7pm Sunday 21st February with a live tutorial, I feel that a pre- recorded You Tube tutorials that you can always refer back to with downloadable patterns and sizes would be the best option for each of the collections that Karen and the awesome team needs. I will work my way though the list of essential projects to bring you printable templates and YouTube tutorials to ensure we are making what is needed. Please pop by the pinned post here at the top of the group here for a list are ‘Items needed’ for full details.

Although not specific to ‘The Buddy Bag Foundation’ sewing. I have previously been live to show you how to make the ‘Linda Lotus bag’ and  super easy ‘Cork Cosmetic bag’  if you choose not to use cork fabric you could use light weight interfacing for your project.

I have been involved with lots of Charity events over the years I feel very passionate about ‘The Buddy Bag Foundation’. I’m always amazed at the love and kindness I feel through the calls (albeit only three) with Karen Williams, the ‘Buddy Bag Foundation’ founder and I am so delighted that Linda Aitchison connected us. Your passion, love and desire to help others shines through in our group -thank you so much. Let’s share our passion for kindness, sewing and crochet and continue to support the Buddy Bag Foundation and group members.

In the meantime you can watch tutorials from our MemeMonday events  on the links below
