Workshop Overview
Join me, Kerrie Padmore, at Studio 8 in Cannock for a beautifully creative workshop where you’ll design and make your own free-motion and raw-edge appliqué lampshade.
This workshop is perfect for both beginners and more confident sewists. Using a wide selection of templates or feel free to bring your own, you’ll be guided step-by-step as you create a stunning, personalised design. With plenty of inspiration available in the studio, you’ll have the freedom to create a piece that reflects your own unique style.
During This Workshop You Will:

Design your own beautiful lampshade using a wide range of templates and samples for guidance

Explore playful and fabulous free-motion stitching techniques

Learn raw-edge appliqué using pretty fabric remnants provided in the studio or feel free to bring your own

Use Bondaweb for precise appliqué placement
- Build your confidence while creating a project completely unique to you

Suitable for ages 16+. Some sewing experience recommended but not essential, beginners welcome.

Included, please let Kerrie know in the notes section of your booking if you have any food allergies. If no notes I will assume no allergies.
What to Bring

Your sewing machine
- Free-motion sewing foot
- Sewing kit if you are using your own materials
- Your own scraps if you have spacific fabrics youd like to use. I have plenty for you to choose from on the day too.
Important: Please only book if you have your own sewing machine, as there are no machines available to use.
Important Venue & Parking Information
Parking & Approach:

Follow directions to park at the back of the building

As you approach, turn right and follow signs for café parking

Walk towards the café, then proceed to the front of the building

You will need to walk through a small brown gate to reach the main entrance, marked by a “Entrance” sign
Meeting Time:

I will meet you in the entrance area at 9:50am

Please don’t be late — I am unable to come down to collect you once the class has started

If you are late, you will miss out on the session, and no refunds or transfers will be given

If you arrive earlier, please wait in the on-site café, the building is a working business hub
Accessibility:

There is a lift inside the building to bring sewing machines up to Studio 8 on the first floor
Early Arrival
There is a café on-site which you are welcome to use if you arrive early. Please still make your way to the side of the building before 9:50am so you don’t miss the class start.
