2-Day Sewing Event with Kerrie & Katharine
9th & 10th October 2026 | Early Bird Price: £250 (book by 31st December)
We love having Kerrie at the Craft Centre, so together with the lovely Katharine, we’ve created a fabulous 2-day event full of sewing, cake, and friendly chat!
You’ll enjoy a relaxed, inspiring weekend where you’ll piece your own quilt top, learn beginner-friendly free motion quilting, and spend quality time sewing in great company.
What I’ll Be Teaching:
Day 1: Piece, Chat & Sew
We’ll ease into the day from 10am with a gentle welcome — pastries and a proper cuppa while I introduce the techniques and give a warm, light-hearted overview of what’s ahead.
Then, it’s all about relaxing, sewing, and piecing your quilt top together. The day finishes at 4pm — but between us, I’m not one for watching the clock. I’ve been known to hand out “sewing detentions” so we can all keep sewing a little longer. We won’t tell if you don’t!
Day 2: Free Motion Magic & Finishing Touches
Saturday is your chance to try something new! In the morning, I’ll guide you through gentle, beginner-friendly free motion quilting techniques with plenty of time to practice.
In the afternoon, you can choose to continue practicing or jump right in and start quilting your own project. No pressure, no stress — just a chance to build your confidence and enjoy the process.
Imagine: a weekend, a quilt top made by you, and the calm that comes from sewing in lovely company.
Quilt Pattern Options:
Our quilt pattern choices are coming soon! You’ll be able to pick your favourite and choose from pre-cut or uncut kits, with fabric choices sent to you in advance.
