✨ Why We’re So Passionate About Offering These Free Creative Business Days ✨
![]()
There comes a moment in many creative lives when a quiet question starts to whisper:
Could this be more?
Could the thing you love creating in snatched moments at the kitchen table… the work that brings you calm, joy, or a sense of this feels like me… become something that supports you, grows you, and maybe even becomes a business?
That question is exactly why these free day events exist.
How This Collaboration Began
Over time, I’ve become lovely friends with David Holmes and although our backgrounds couldn’t be more different, we noticed something very quickly, we share the same passion.
We both want to see people thrive.
Not just survive. Not just cope. But genuinely thrive, creatively, emotionally and practically.
David brings a wealth of experience from a very different professional world to mine, while my journey has grown from creativity, making, teaching and building Living in Loveliness from the heart outward. Different paths… but the same vision.
And that vision is you.

David Holmes CMgr FCMI FRSA – Strategy & Branding Mentor for Creative Entrepreneurs

I’ve spent my career helping people turn ideas into thriving, sustainable businesses — from global entrepreneurs and CEOs to creative individuals who began, like you, with a simple spark of passion and possibility.
The truth is, there can be a business in your craft — but only when you explore it with clarity, curiosity, and a little structure. That’s where I come in.
During our time together, I’ll help you look at your creativity through a practical business lens — not to take away the joy or spontaneity, but to reveal what’s truly possible when inspiration meets intention.
We’ll work through proven frameworks that successful entrepreneurs use every day, including the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai — finding the intersection between what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what people will pay for. It’s a beautiful way to discover your purpose and to test whether your creative passion could become your livelihood.
This isn’t about business jargon or pressure; it’s about insight, vision, and choice. Together, we’ll explore whether your craft could become a real business — one that aligns with your values and your life.
I bring to this day over 30 years of experience helping people find their direction, define their brand, and take confident steps towards something more. You’ll leave not only with practical tools, but with a clearer sense of who you are as a creative entrepreneur — and a renewed belief in what’s possible.
For many, this will be the first time they’ve had the chance to test their ideas alongside a mentor with deep business experience and a genuine love of creativity. I hope you’ll take this opportunity to see what your future could hold.”

Kerrie Padmore – Designer, Tutor & Creative Mentor
Founder of Living in Loveliness

I’ve spent the past 13 years building my creative journey from my kitchen table, sewing for my children. What started as a simple, joyful hobby has grown into Living in Loveliness — a thriving creative community offering sewing kits, patterns, luxury retreats, and both in-person and on-demand classes reaching students across the UK, USA, and worldwide.
I’m completely self-taught, and I’ve learned everything through passion, determination, and learning from every success and mistake. Over the past six years, I’ve shared my love of sewing on TV, helping inspire makers across the UK. Alongside this, I’ve launched sewing patterns sold through distributors in the UK and USA, and most recently, I’ve introduced on-demand classes so students can access expert tuition from the comfort of their own homes.
I know firsthand what it takes to turn a passion into a sustainable, thriving business — from navigating trends and listening to customer feedback, to pivoting when needed — all while keeping creativity, joy, and curiosity at the heart of what you do.
I’ve designed for leading fabric houses such as Liberty and Lewis & Irene, and I teach at exhibitions and venues across the UK. My work helps makers gain confidence, explore their creativity, and transform their ideas into tangible results.
Here’s what I can help you do:
-
Follow your creative goals with clarity and commitment
-
Adapt to trends and feedback while staying true to your vision
-
Turn inspiration into a sustainable, thriving business
-
Learn from every challenge and celebrate every success
Through Living in Loveliness, I’ve created a space where creativity meets confidence, experimentation leads to growth, and makers can thrive in a supportive, inspiring environment. I also write a monthly feature for The Creative Edit, sharing strategies and insights to help creative entrepreneurs take confident steps toward building a business that aligns with their creativity and values.
Let me show you how to take your spark of passion and turn it into something meaningful — for you, your craft, and your future.
Our Shared Vision for You
At the heart of these days is a simple, powerful hope:
✨ That your confidence grows ✨ That your ideas feel possible ✨ That you leave feeling clearer, steadier, and inspired
So many creatives doubt themselves far more than they should. They question whether they’re “good enough.” They wonder if it’s too late. They fear they don’t know enough.
We see this again and again — talented, thoughtful people standing right on the edge of something meaningful, yet unsure how to step forward.
This day is designed to gently support you across that edge.
Why We’re Offering This Day for Free
We believe deeply that access to encouragement, clarity and guidance shouldn’t be a barrier.
These free events are about:
- Giving you space to think and reflect
- Helping you understand how creativity can translate into a business
- Showing you that confidence isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you build
There is no pressure. No hard sell. No expectation that you arrive with everything figured out.
Just openness, curiosity, and a willingness to explore what could be.
What You Can Expect From the Day
This isn’t a high-pressure business seminar. It’s a warm, supportive, and inspiring day where we:
- Talk honestly about creative journeys (the wobbles included)
- Explore what thriving really looks like for you
- Share practical insight alongside encouragement
- Create space for conversation, reflection, and connection
You’ll leave feeling:
✔ More confident than when you arrived ✔ Clearer about your next steps ✔ Less alone in your creative journey
