Be inspired by our monthly sewing subscription!
Ever wondered what to make with your scraps of fabric? I always encourage sewists to save their scraps as it’s amazing how many fabulous projects can be sewn using them. So, with this in mind, I’m proud to introduce ‘Sewn with Scraps’. Each new issue includes three patterns which give you ideas and techniques as well as showing you how to sew up those small, scrappy bits of fabric. You will also be added to a Members’ Area on the Living In Loveliness website where you will benefit from member discounts on particular products added each month and see a pre-recorded tutorial for one pattern from each issue.
Signing up to our ‘Sewn with Scraps with Living In Loveliness’ monthly sewing subscription means that each month you will receive an instruction booklet containing three projects to make using up your scraps of fabric.
Every month you will receive a full colour step-by-step instruction booklet or A4 download for three fabulous projects containing both written and photographic detailed instructions to take you through each step. Your pattern booklet will also tell you what additional fabrics, ribbons, zips and trims are needed to complete each project. Throughout this series of patterns, I will teach you how to get the most out of your scraps of fabric, ensuring almost every piece of fabric is sewn up into super-cute projects. Each month I will dispatch your patterns either by email or by post on the 1st of each month. Furthermore, you can choose to start your subscription either at Issue 1 or at Issue 4.

No need to throw away pretty paper packaging; now your recipient can re-use the bags for future gifts or even as make up, toiletries or stationary bags.

Issue 2 – Sew Organised
Sewn with Scraps – Issue 2 – ‘Sew Organised’ has been inspired by my love for dress making and patchwork and demonstrates my favourite block, the pin wheel. This issue has 14 pages of step by step instruction for three different projects: pretty pinwheel pattern weights – these beautiful simple pattern weights are perfect for holding paper patterns; a pretty pin cushion – this is the same design but trimmed to a circle to be easily worn on your wrist for easy access to pins while you are sewing; a super-cute scissor/rotary cutter holder – the perfect way to sew up some scraps and look after your beautiful much loved scissors and/or rotary cutter. The booklet is filled with lots of bright, clear supporting photos for each step making each project sew easy. I love any project that looks complicated yet is so simple!
Issue 2 will be emailed/posted out on the 1st of the second calendar month from your start date
Issue 3 – Sew Handy
Sewn with Scraps – Issue 3 – Sew Handy has been inspired by my lack of handbag organisation. I’m forever losing my keys, lipstick and never have a trolly coin or pound to hand! In this issue there are three different super easy projects which are perfect for organising your bag: a key ring fob with a super cute pocket for your trolley coin; a cute carry case perfect for keeping your lipstick and mirror in or even a small sewing kit – with three pockets, the choice is yours; a super handy quilted tissue holder. All of these fabulous projects can make super-cute and fast gifts too.
Issue 3 will be emailed/posted out on the 1st of the third calendar month from your start date

Issue 4 – Sew Delicious
Sewn with Scraps – Issue 4 –Sew Delicious has been inspired by my love for hot drinks and yummy soup. In this issue there are three different super easy projects which are perfect for protecting your hands when you’re enjoying a hot drink or soup. The projects are so useful and super fast and easy to sew up – a bowl cosy, a mug cosy and a mug rug.
Issue 4 will be emailed/posted out within 48 hours of receiving your order and the following Issues emailed/ posted on the 1st of each calendar month.
Issue 5 – Banner and bunting
Sewn with Scraps – Issue 5 – Banner and Bunting – has been inspired by my love for both sewing and bunting. For as long as I have been running classes, sewing bunting and pretty hearts have always been the first projects I encourage each sewist to make. These offer an opportunity to practice straight lines and curves whilst sewing beautiful collections which will add a touch of colour to any room or outdoor space. Not only that, they are also beautiful, fast projects to sew and gift. The ‘Sew Happy’ banner was designed to incorporate my love for fabric covered buttons and my love for wall hangings. This design encourages the use of the smallest scraps and showcases pretty pleats and applique.
Issue 5 will be emailed/posted out on the 1st of the second calendar month from your start date
Issue 6 – Kitchen Organised
Sewn with Scraps – Issue 6 – Kitchen Organised – these patterns were designed to complement the patterns that feature in the Fabulously Fast Fat Quarter Fun – Issue 9 – Kitchen Love. ‘Kitchen Organised’ was conceived in December 2020 after a lovely relaxing Christmas and before New Year after spending more time in the kitchen. Every year, during this ‘Twixmas’ period, I find a little extra time to ‘reorganise’ and set a few ‘New Year resolutions’. So, to allow for a little more organisation of meal plans, shopping lists and the trolley coin as well as using some of my beautiful scraps, I decided to sew a kitchen wall organiser with the key clasps to hang keys. The Hexi Bowls were designed as a result of my love for pretty bowls to put ‘things in’ – mainly chocolate and sweets over Christmas – however, they do make the perfect addition to any sewing room to keep ribbon, trims and buttons in on your sewing table. Finally, I decided on a bowl/dish cover which is super fast and very useful, especially for a party or family meal.
Issue 6 will be emailed/posted out on the 1st of the third calendar month from your start date
