Join me for a whole day of sewing and learning free motion embroidery. This one day event is the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in the company of other like-minded sew happy people. All abilities are welcomed.

Free motion embroidery is a little like drawing with your sewing machine; the normal constraints are removed, leaving you free to move your fabrics around and make all sorts of wonderful patterns. As you can imagine if you are a machinist this is a fun way of expressing personal design and creativity, regardless of your sewing experience.

You will make a beautiful cushion cover or tote bag during this workshop. The choice is yours.

What’s included in the course fee:
For this course we provide all the equipment and materials needed – even the sewing machines! So you can find out whether you enjoy sewing- which of course, I’m sure you will. Without the need to invest in all the equipment. Please note each kit colours will be different based on fabrics I have in stock.

If you choose to make the cushion cover you will need to bring an 18”x18” cushion inner.

If you have specific colours/ preferred fabrics you would like to use for this project please bring to the class. If you choose to do this, please let me know in advance.

If you would prefer to bring your own machine, please contact me so that we can make sure you also have the neccessory machine accessories for the class.

This course requires no prior knowledge and is perfect for absolute beginners or the more experience sewist.

The cost of this retreat is just £55 which includes unlimited hot drinks and a two course cavery. Please let me know of any food allergies or intolerances prior to the event.

This was my third sewing retreat experience with Kerrie, and I’ve loved every one. Just being among some lovely like minded ladies, all enjoying the friendly atmosphere and camaraderie, makes for a great day out. Not forgetting learning new sewing techniques and making some awesome projects, although , as Kerrie knows, I always end up doing my own thing! Onwards and upwards!💖

Having attended the Free Motion sewing retreat on Sunday- I am now totally hooked – it was brilliant!! Kerrie is an amazing teacher and her knowledge is first class. I was a complete novice but by the end of the day I was able to complete a panel using my new found skills – thanks to Kerrie’s patience and help. We were a small group of ladies with varying abilities in Free Motion but this didn’t detract from our learning – each was given time and explanation when required. I will definitely be attending further classes, retreats and workshops.

  8. Sue Flectcher
