Course outline
Explore and develop freehand machine embroidery techniques. Learn how to set up your machine and ‘draw’ with your thread. With just a a darning/ free motion embroidery foot on your sewing machine you can create stunning designs.

Fabric 1 8″ x 12.5”, Fabric 2 10.5″ X 12.5”, Fabric 3 plain centre 8 X 12.5”, Fabric 4 Envelope backs 24″ x 12.5”, Wadding 35″” x 14.5”
Practice plain fabric 21″ x 10.5”, 3 Felt pieces (colours of your choice) 3″ x 3”, Green felt for the leaves 5.5″ x 2”
Notions:
- Darning/ free motion embroidery foot
- Sewing machine, foot and cable, manual
- free motion quilting gloves
- Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
- Thread. Standard Cotton Gütermann thread is ideal. We do not recommend using metallic threads for this class.
- Rotary cutter for wadding so as not to dull the blade of the one you use for fabric.
